I don’t know if I’ve ever mentioned this before, but I have a little bit of a weak spot for sparkly clothes- I don’t wear them all that much (let’s face it, I’m not a super-sparkly person) but when I do, they just make me feel happier. I guess it’s a bit of a ‘pixie dust’ effect, it just makes me feel a little more confident & lifts my mood a bit – and considering my mood of the past few weeks has been pretty consistently ‘blargh’, this Motel skirt was a much needed addition to my wardrobe! Does anyone else have a type of clothing, or maybe just a specific garment, that instantly lifts their mood or gives them a boost?
When I was putting this outfit together I also experimented with a different way of wearing the shirt & tie part of the outfit – inspired by the neck ties of the Saint Laurent SS15 collection – I posted a little shot of that look to my instagram, but I ended up not loving it as much.I guess I need to think that look through a little more so I don’t end up looking like some terrible ABBA reject, haha!
