Happy Sunday lovely people – I hope that you’re keeping well and have had a great weekend! Have any of you been at LFW? I’d love to see your posts, so let me know :3

This is just a little smarter-than-usual outfit that has been my fancy occasion go-to of recent. It’s pretty simple, but has an interesting mix of textures across the leather, lace and tulle (or so I like to think), and I can keep cosy by layering up in a couple of pairs of tights.

I recently picked up this skirt in the Asos sale for nearly half price – I’ve been after a longer black tulle skirt for so long, but have been a bit worried about one making me look like a bit too much of a throwback to my teenage goth/emo days (cringe). I like to think that the tiered layers of this skirt give it a bit more of a contemporary edge so I can avoid looking like something out of 2008 (but hopefully without crossing over into frilly toilet roll holder doll territory). I absolutely love the skirt, anyhow – it’s great quality for £32! That said, the sizing is a little larger than Asos’ usual stuff – I’m between two sizes and sized up to be on the safe side, but it won’t stay up around my waist without a belt, instead sitting low on my hips (and silly me threw out the returns form before I tried it on, how annoying!)

Anyway, enough of me rambling on – thank you so much for stopping by to read my blog! Take care, love xxx
