Okay, well it’s not – in fact, Halloween is still at least half a month away. However, for me, the month of October becomes a bit of a free-for-all in terms of upping the creepy dressing (I genuinely had a lady tell me that ‘it’s not Halloween yet’ the other day) – I just get super excited for it I guess! Does anyone else find themselves dressing a little more spookily with Halloween on the horizon?
I suppose this is a bit of an example of how into Halloween dressing I am… this is what I wore to work last Thursday! Tom & I popped out during our lunch break to snap these photos. I absolutely adore this velvet cloak from the latest BM Halloween collection – I feel as though I’m channelling little red riding hood if she ended up taking over the fairytale world to become queen… I paired it with my long sleeved burned velvet dress – I feel like October is probably the only time of year I could get away with combining these two pieces, but I sure did feel spookily regal!
Due to how full-on the velvet pieces are, and with the buckle fastening on the cloak, I opted to keep accessories to a minimum and just added a couple of rings, an old broken choker, and a deep berry lip to polish everything off.

Gorgeous! I also dress a bit more 'creepy' during this time! Maybe because it is more acceptable :p
