One Skirt, Three Ways.

Hi everyone! Hope you’ve had a lovely week, an are going to have an awesome weekend :3.
First off, I want to apologise for being terrible at posting recently- I’ve been catching up on lots of uni work, and then it was my birthday earlier this week, so I got a bit distracted by birthday-ness, aha (complete with one of those ‘fuck, I’m not a teenager anymore’ moments). Anyway, yeah, I will get better from now, I promise!
So, on to the actual post! Ever since first setting eyes on the Motel Cristine Skirt whilst having a quick online store browse the other day , I’ve been in love with it. I had a slight one of those Wayne’s World ‘It will be mine… oh yes.’ moments, aha. So since then, I’ve sort of been dreaming up outfits for it, and I thought I’d show you guys! And on top of that, I do think  that every girl needs a good faux leather skirt ^.^. Hope you like :3
(Note: I’ve tried to link all the pieces (the cheapest ones, wherever I can!), but some were out of stock by the time I did this post, so I’ve linked you to the seller etc instead :3)
Bulldog String Crop Top – The Ragged Priest via Topshop
Cristine Skirt – Motel
Inventor Flip Lens Sunglasses – 80’s Purple
Agyness Deyn 10 Eyelet Dr. Martens  – Dr. Martens via Schuh
Buckled Cuff – Romwe
Lotus Rouge (455) Nail Laquer – Chanel (available from House of Fraser for £18)
Magic Ink Liquid Eyeliner – Benefit
Nars Pure Matte Lipstick in Amsterdam – NARS

Outfit number one- I actually picked up this Ragged Preist top in the Topshop sale the other day (it arrived this morning, woo!), because it was down from £40 to £25, and I thought that it’d go beautifully with this skirt. However, I do think that I bought the last one (or one of the last), because when I came to put this post together, it was gone, after being on the site for a good while  :(. However, the Topshop online concession does also have so good reductions on things- I also love the ‘Time Bomb Biker Jacket’, which is half price (arh, I wish I had money!). I paired it with a pair of Agyness Deyn Dr. Martens, which I’ve been lusting after since they first came out (well,  the whole collection in all honesty!). The reason why I linked the Schuh website is because they are down to £59.99 from £140, which is the cheapest that I think I’ve ever seen them! I then added some flip lens sunglasses, and my trusty Romwe buckle cuff that I constantly wear. As for make-up, I tried to pick out colours that tied in with the boots- I love the matte finish of these NARS lipsticks, and this colour looks gorgeous! And Chanel nail varnish is, well.. Chanel Nail Varnish, so it’s awesome… aha ^.^.
Cropped White Shirt – DIY
Cristine Skirt – Motel
Inventor Flip Lens Sunglasses – 80’s Purple
White JC Coltranes – Office or Solestruck, depending where in the world you are!
Cross Earrings – Romwe
Timex Watch – Urban Outfitters
Semi Matte Lipstick in Jungle Red – NARS
High Beam – Benefit
As you can tell, I really love these sunglasses, aha ^.^. Anyway, I had an idea for this outfit, and wanted to include a shirt I had years ago- it was basically one of my old school shirts that I cut up so it was cropped, but my mum threw it out, thinking it was something that’d I’d cut up for scraps of material or something 🙁 I need to get round to making a new one! I tried looking online, but couldn’t find anything like it, so I just grabbed a random picture of a white shirt and erased the bottom half, ha. I thought the outfit would look amazing with some Jeffrey Campbell Coltranes, and then simple accessories ^.^. With the make-up, I opted for a bright lip, keeping the eyes clean, with maybe a little mascara, and then some highlighter for a dewy complexion. I first got a sample of High Beam free with Cosmopolitan, and I’ve love it ever since- it’s the best highlighter I’ve found, and I’ve found that it last for a really long time, because a little goes a long way!
Sleeveless Plaid Shirt – Topshop
Cristine Skirt – Motel
Bowler Hat – Missguided
Darby Ultimate Platform Boots – Missguided
Over Knee Socks – American Apparel or Topshop
Confetti Stud Pouch Bag – Urban Outfitters
Oversized Cross Necklace – Miss Selfridge
Spike Bracelet – Missguided
Magic Ink Liquid Eyeliner – Benefit
141 (Royal Rasberry) Lipstick – Barry M
Outfit number three- I do love a good plaid shirt… I’ve always found Topshop to be reliable for them, but I’d also recommend that you check out Missguided– they have some beaut ones (but unfortunately they display their products on models, so I couldn’t include one in the moodboard!). Actually, I went a little crazy with Missguided on this one- I often forget how awesome some of their stuff is, but… well, I guess these boots say it all! SO PRETTY, UGH. With the over knee socks, I point in a couple of different price options, as although the AA ones are great quality and very warm, they’re also pretty expensive, whereas Topshop have a cheaper pair. I also found this bag in the Urban Outfitters sale for £20- not too shabby for a bag these days! I then paired it with silver accessories, a berry lip (one of my all-time favourite shades), and some liquid eyeliner. I love this eyeliner- the brush is dead thin, so it’s really easy to use, rather than the thicker foam applicators that some have that can be so difficult to be precise with!
Hope you guys liked these outfits I put together, I’d love to hear your opinions and what you’d pair the skirt with! And I apologise for rambling so much in this post, aha.
Hope you have a lovely weekend :3. Love!xx
