Hi everyone, I hope you’ve been well and are having a fab time in the beautiful weather! I’ve been finding it difficult to make my predominately black wardrobe work in the heat – I overheat really easily, and that will the put me out of action for the rest of the day, or until I can sleep it off – so keeping cool is a priority! While I do wear paler colours from time to time, I do find myself missing my darks (I’m overly attached, I know), so here is my attempt at dressing for the hot weather within my usual palette.
This bralet is amazing for those intensely warm days- it’s light, so as long as you go braless it keeps you nice and cool (and I guess the fact that it a limited amount of material helps too, haha) – and it also works well under sheer things if you want a little more coverage underneath than just your bra! Due to the, ahem, minimal nature of the bralet, I wanted to keep my lower half a bit more covered for the day time, so this maxi skirt was perfect way of doing so as the side splits still kept things cool. I’m also a bit of a sucker for anything with a dark floral print so that may have factored into my decision-making! Then I just kept a denim jacket with me for when I wanted to keep my shoulders covered, or if there was a bit of a breeze. Sorted!
Do you guys have any go-to items for the hot weather? I’d love to know, I think I need some help working out some summer staples!
Take care, and have a lovely start to the week, love!xxx

I love the sunny weather but I just get so hot that I have to stay in the shade otherwise I'll burn and melt haha! Maxi skirts are perfect for warm weather if you don't want to reveal to much and this one is gorgeous!

Amazing styling as always, that choker is incredible! I struggle with summer dressing too but for the fact that I have a preppier style, I usually end up wearing light floaty dresses 🙂 xx

It's been so warm no wonder you've been struggling with a black wardrobe. Fab skirt though, still summery even though it's mainly black
