Hey guys, hope you’re well and are having a good weekend so far :3. This is just a little outfit post with the skirt I DIY’d at The Motel at The Apartment event during LFW, which was absolutely amazing- beautiful clothes and crazy amounts of tasty snacks everywhere! Bath full of bags of popcorn, anyone? There was also a cardboard cut out of Ryan Gosling (and I’m not going to lie, it gave me the fright of my life as it was just behind the door in the bathroom- I jumped out of my skin aha!)
At the event we each got to pick an item to customise, so I picked out this gorgeous denim skirt. They had a little customisation station with piles upon piles of patches, fabric paint and studs- after sifting through the patches for a short while I came across the Slipknot patch and I had to pounce on it immediately! I was also lucky enough to grab a Slayer patch (and they went together really well so it turned out perfectly!), so this was the end result.
The skirt goes really well with so much, but this is my favourite combination at the moment- I know I’ve been wearing this shirt around my waist a fair bit recently, but I’ve been using it at as a modesty shirt- when things are a little short on me (which is very often, with my height) I tie it around my waist so I don’t feel self-conscious if I have to bend down or something (again often, I drop things a lot!). It’s also great as the weather’s quite changeable at the moment, so if I get a bit chilly I can throw it on as an extra layer!

    The customised skirt is awesome (and the plaid shirt is a great idea, I'm with you on always having to pick up things haha), I really love how you did your hair with the rings too gives me inspiration to try something like that! 🙂

    This outfit is just perfect! You do the "rock meets girly" look so well. Slayer patch on a slightly flared denim skirt? Brilliant! And I love this hairstyle. It's a great twist to long hair worn down.
